Before embarking on any aesthetic procedures, Star always does a detailed consultation to assess the patient's needs. A full history including general health, lifestyle and examination of skin is carried out. Only after all the investigations are completed is a treatment plan suggested to the patient. This consultation and assessment is at no charge.

The following aesthetic services are offered:

• Wrinkle relaxing injections such Vistabel. Tight and over-worked facial muscles can create lines and wrinkles that give an older, tired or even angry appearance. Minute amounts of muscle relaxing medication is injected into the muscle using an ultra-fine needle. This allows the muscles to relax over a period of time, up to two weeks, resulting in a less taut, smoother, less lined appearance. The treatment is virtually painless and takes only a couple of minutes and the effects last between 3 and 6 months.
• Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid, which occurs in the body naturally, and is involved in tissue repair. As we mature our natural hyaluronic acid stores become depleted. When hyaluronic acid is injected in the face, it creates volume, giving a healthy, youthful appearance by plumping out the areas around lines and wrinkles. The effect is instant and can last up to 12 months.
• Lip enhancement fills out the lips and surrounding tissues giving a fuller, more sumptuous look to the lips, framing the smile. It is generally carried out using some local anaesthesia. The treatment usually lasts between 6 months and a year.
• Skin peels are carried out on the face, hands, chest or back and are used to improve the appearance of the skin that has been damaged by the sun, acne, scars, pigmentation rosacea, and other dermatological problems. During the consultation a tailor-made skin-care regimen will be designed for you, including skin peels. Peels, together with home skincare programs make the skin feel and appear fresher, smoother and younger.
