problem: What do I do if I have a dental problem when the practice is closed?

As a patient of our practice, you have access to our out-of-hours emergency facility. If you need help, call the practice on 01273 736448. Our emergency messaging service will put you in touch with an emergency dentist. New patients may also use this facility, at the discretion of the emergency dentist.

There is a charge for after hours call outs, but if you are a member of a dental  insurance scheme, the costs will be paid by the scheme directly or reimbursed to you. The emergency dentist or our practice staff can assist you in filling out a claim form. Please insist on an official practice receipt when paying for services and details of the treatment carried out by the emergency dentist, before you leave the practice.

NHS patients are covered by the emergency dental service provided by the Brighton & Hove NHS Primary Care Trust. This service is provided after hours in Lewes. The NHS emergency number is on our after hours message. NHS patients utilising the practice emergency service will be charged as private patients.
